A lineup of 49 short films from around the world is to vie at the Globe International Silent Film Festival.
The films are to be screened in five sections such as Fiction, Experimental, Animation, Documentary and Super Short.
The first edition of the Globe International Silent Film Festival was held in Iran.
The debut edition had received incredible reception on the international scale – around 2,200 films were submitted to the festival, the official website of the festival wrote.
According to the fest's official site, some Iranian artists such as director Kambuzia Partovi sit on the jury in the latest edition of the fest.
The GISFF is planned to be held in a new country every year, so that the silent cinema industry is introduced to all enthusiasts.
Silent films refer to films without dialogue or narration and recount their stories through the language of imagery, just as a painting.
The 1st Globe International Silent Film Festival was held in April 2016 with the hosting of the Art University of Tehran.
The 2018 edition of the festival will be held from April 21 to 29 in the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the US.
